Wema Virtual Airtime is an electronic means of purchasing GSM re-charge vouchers. Electronic refill vouchers are purchased through the use of the facility on GSM phones of subscribers.

Why does anybody need Wema Virtual Airtime?

The convenience of anytime, anywhere 24/7, 365 days is an attraction anybody cannot ignore as it eliminates emergency. It is equally cheaper.

How does it operate? (Existing)

Just fill out our Mobile Banking Application form containing your details and GSM number to registered and submit to the branch where your account is domiciled. Send an SMS to our Mobile Banking line, which will be given to you when the form has been processed and your PIN code sent to you.

Use the format below:
Operator-Prefix Denomination Quantity (Operator- Prefix means E- for V-mobile, M for MTN and G for Globacom
There is no space between operator- prefix and denomination while a space exists between denomination and quantity.

For V-Mobile
xxxx.Air.E500 (Single order) i.e. ordering for one N500 voucher
xxxx.Air.E1000 2 (Double order) i.e. ordering for two N1000 vouchers

For MTN
xxxx.Air.M750 (single order) i.e. ordering for one N750 voucher.
xxxx.Air.M1500 (Double order) i.e. ordering for two N1500 vouchers

For Globacom
xxxx.Air.G500 (Single order) i.e. ordering for one N500 vouchers
xxxx.Air.G500 2 (Single order) i.e. ordering for two N1000 Vouchers

Note: where xxxx.is the PIN given to you

For Multiple order (different networks airtime purchase can be ordered together)
e.g. PIN.AIR.E500 1.M1500 2 i.e. ordering for 1 voucher of V-Mobile and 2 of MTN.

The request has to be separated by full stop (.) and there must be a space between the denomination and quality.

Where there is no credit on your phone:

Take a neighbour’s phone with sufficient credit to send an SMS thus:
Your registered phone number.xxxx.Air.M750 (Single order)
Your registered phone number.xxxx.Air.M750 2 (Double order)
The purchased airtime message gets into your registered phone number. Your Pin will be automatically changed to a new one.

How secured is Wema Virtual Airtime?

Very secure. The request for a recharge card can only be granted with your registered GSM number. Your account balance with Wema Virtual Airtime will always be sent to you anytime a request is made for a recharge voucher. Any order beyond the balance in your account will not be granted.

What if I forgot my PIN?
Just fill the Replacement of Forgotten/Disengaged PIN form and take it to the branch where your account is domiciled.
