Wema Bank maintains an active presence in both local and foreign exchange money markets. It maintains network of correspondent banking relationship helps ensure that banking services can be provided to our customers in major international business centers.

Short Term Investment Funds [Stif]
· Tenor – 30-180 days
· Withholding Tax exempt
· Initial deposit – N500,000.00 subject to approval
· Penalty for premature liquidation

Flexible Stif
· The most flexible and accessible money market product
· Tenor 24 hours [1 day] notice
· Lower yield than STIF

· Share Acquisition Savings Account[SASA] 
· Artisan/Apprentice Savings Account[ASSA]
· Marital Savings Account [MASA]

Treasury Bills Investment
These are government guaranteed debt instruments issued by CBN on their behalf to finance expenditure. They also issued to manage money supply in the Financial System through OMO [Open Market
Operations]. There are two types of markets for Treasury Bills:

Primary Market Issue
· New issue of any Treasury Bill
· Tenor is 91 days
· Physical Certificate
· Not easily tradable and discountable as secondary issue bills.

Secondary Issue
· Tenor is less than 91 days
· No certificates
· Tradable and discounted easily
· Lower yield than Primary Market Issue
· Minimum Investment N10,000,000 but negotiable.


Nibss Fast Fund
· This is also called the Nigeria Third Party Transfer [NTPT]
· The NTPT is a means by which funds are made available by a payer to the beneficiary in another bank within 24 hours of effective presentation of funds transfer request at NIBSS.

· Commercial Paper
  These are short-term high yield discountable instruments issued on behalf of blue chip companies. They offer tenors of 90 to 180 days.
· Bankers Acceptance
 
These are investment vehicles offered by corporate institutions and guaranteed by Wema Bank. They are discountable over tenors ranging from 30-180days.
