Carry out transactions on your mobile

Carrying out transactions no longer requires mobile data or internet connection thanks to SMS banking on Wema Mobile Banking Suite. All you need is your account number and Wema Mobile Banking Suite installed on your phone.

For Existing Customers:

  • Download WemaMobile
  • Hit the ‘SMS Banking’ feature found on the app menu
  • Generate your transaction PIN

How to generate transaction PIN:

  • Launch your WemaMobile app
  • Click SMS Banking
  • Select PIN Services
  • Select Generate PIN
  • Input account number, new PIN and confirm PIN

For New Customers: Download the Wema Mobile Banking Suite here and follow the steps above

  • View/Request Statement
  • Purchase Airtime
  • Bills Payment
  • Funds Transfer
  • Cheque Services (request/confirmation/stop cheque)
  • Card Services (request/hotlist/report dispense errors)
  • Direct contact to Purple connect via telephone, email and social media
  • Block account (PND) in case of emergency or suspected fraud
  • ATM and Branch locator and much more
